Security Installer in CT

Hey all,

In the midst of my new HA/Security install. I've been using a local electrician for a lot of my runs, since I'm putting in alot of line voltage stuff as well, however he really doesn't have alot of experience installing security systems. I want to install alot of wired window and door contacts, I find that installers experienced in primarily security really know how to get the contacts into place without tearing up everything completely the way some electricians can.

Does anyone here work as a security installer in CT or can recommend someone? I've contacted a number of local alarm companies, offering to either pay for the install work, even offering to use them for a few years of monitoring, however none of them will do the work without me also using their preferred systems..

After all is said and done how much are you paying for "their" system? Maybe you can just bight the bullet, get them to install it, then switch out the panel . .

I live in CT and am getting a house built. My builder is using 'Safe and Sound' for alarm. I don't have personal experience with them yet. I do have quote from them to install sensors and such in my new house without providing the panels (i will put the elk in myself). PM me if you need details. I don't have their info handy but can get it if you need it.

I think you need a specalist LV installer like these guys and not a alarm company that is trying to sell you 'services'.
