separating network traffic

I agree... if I had the ability to go all wired, I would do so in a heartbeat... but it's just not practical in my home without tearing up the walls.

well, being in dallas, we have no basements, so the only way to go is up... but in one of the rooms where i have a camera, it is on an interior wall of a 2-story room that has no attic space above it.... it is possible for me to run a wire around the base of the room to the other side, go through the wall to the garage, up into the attic and across the house in the attic, back down into the office where the router is, but it's much easier to just use the wireless bridge for now.

ok, so i finally got around to doing this. i've had the router for a couple of weeks ready to go with dd-wrt firmware, but only got the time to mess with it today. easy as pie. configured the firmware (turn off dhcp, blah blah), plugged it in, and it just worked.
