For some reason, I thought this device (the INSTEON version) was already on the market, but I guess I am wrong as they started accepting pre-orders for the new INSTEON PowerLinc. Some of the features are:

• Easy, trouble-free USB connection
• Control INSTEON and X10 devices from compatible HA software
• Interface supports INSTEON extended messages
• Supports 2,000+ links

It is expected to be in stock around 03/29/2009, and sells for $79.99.

I believe you maybe thinking of the 2412UH for their HouseLinc 2. I believe it had some special tables in it for their software. The new one sounds like a generic for all to use.
