SSL CSR Certificate

When the web browser is launched from internet explorer, it diplays "There is a problem with this websites sercurity certificate"
I have selected "Generate CSR" in the server properties, and also tried the "generate self signed certificate". None of these options seem to work.
Any ideas on how to fix this ?

I'm guessing that your reference to "Generate CSR" makes this a Premise-related question? If not, my answer is still applicable.

Your browser maintains a list of recognized signing authorities ("trusted root"). A self-signed certificate is just that "self signed" and is not signed by a recognized authority (like Verisign or Thawte). It is normal for the browser to carp about a web-site that offers up a certificate that is not signed by a recognized authority.
