Yup; last time heavily used vi was for an old airport Unix (SCO ? Solaris ?) box used for those old broadband flight scheduling displays at the Boston Logan airport.
Couldn't get it to work with a new Cisco switch as it was connected to an old Ethernet network hub. It was a learning experience taking me back to 1990's networking using first generation of Ethernet cards.
Totally replicated it in my lab then some stupid bridge collapsed in Boston when I was ready to implement my modded fixes to the old box in the middle of the night changeover.
More recently used vi for playing with the Securifi Almond + first generation testing.
