Thermostat help

Couple of questions. First, what are my non-HAI thermostat options with OPII other than Omnistat2, if any? I just don't love the way they look. Can I use other thermostats?
 
Second, is there a way to have a second remote thermostat in the same zone? Maybe a master/slave kind of scenario? I want two wall-mounted thermostats upstairs and don't want to use a phone/tablet for the second one.
 
Third, is there a way to lock the IOS/Android app into thermostat screen so the other functions aren't accessible?

There is the Omnistat 1.  In theory you can connect a serial thermostat if you can find one that uses simple ASCII commands, but I'm not sure its worth it.

Actually yes. Its called a Thermostat Display Control (TDC) and its bit tricky to find but it exists. Part #LV-95A03-1TWH  You can also connect a remote temp sensor to the Omnistat2.  You will not likely find other thermostats that have a full-feature remote like this unit.
NOTE: For some stupid reason Leviton uses almost the same part number for its Hi-Fi2 Volume control. Maybe it uses the same hardware, and note it requires a LV65A601 as well. Together these two items cost about as much as an Omnistat2.

Not that I see. Your talking about Snaplink?  But you can require a password to access it.

Thanks, I was wanting to use a non-HAI thermostate, so Omnistat1 doesn't cut it.
 
Now that TDC has exactly the functionality I was looking for and it's not at all tricky to find. I saw lots of places online selling it. I know the two modules cost as much as a Omnistat2 but I can't use two Omnistat2 in the same zone. Looks like I'll need an Omnistat + the TDC to do what I want. THANKS!
 
Yes, I was referring to Snaplink but the TDC will accomplish what I want more simply and cheaply than using a smart device as a dedicated thermostat control (which isn't possible anyway).

Are you asking because you want another 'thermostat'?  Or do you mean for a second way to access the setting options?
 
Usually you would just add another temp sensor for balancing thermostat temperature control.  What's your desire for a second unit upstairs?

I think he just wants to control it, but note that the TDC does contain a temp sensor as well, so the temps of the two locations can be averaged. (The same as with the external temp sensor.)

If I install a TDC will I then be able to choose whether I want to average the temperature sensors or choose which one of the two sensors I want to use as the main one, even if it's the one in the TDC?

Wow, I see the TDC also needs a 'communications adapter' (65A60-1).  That's a pricey remote display...  Homecontrols has the combo for $265 (USD).
 
Does it do humidity?  It looks like no.  I'd like to add a couple remote temp sensors, but I'd like humidity and haven't sprung for the Leviton remote sensors yet.
