Thermostats - Whats the Difference? Trane vs TZ43 vs Cooper

Hi, I am looking to buy a Zwave thermostat, and feel that I will probably select the TZ43.

However, browsing through the options, it seems that the TZ43 and the Cooper (and the Trane, for that matter) look EXACTLY the same from the outside.

I know there are some differences between the Trane and the TZ43, such as support for remote sensors, but what is the difference between the Cooper and the TZ43?

Which one has better features?

Is there any advantage to using the Cooper since I'm using Cooper lighting switches?

Thanks,

rebranded tz43 as far as i know. you can look at wayne dalton's zwave hvac unit and the intermatic (intermatic is gone from zwave just fyi). intermatic is a cheaper version of wayne dalton without the basic hvac on/off for handheld remotes that don't support hvac. wayne dalton and intermatic are far cheaper last i checked but check your specific situation to see what is supported or not on each. rcs stuff has more compatibility with physical hvac setups but the wayne dalton/intermatic work for most and are cheaper.

thx for the help. I think I'll just go with TZ43 in that case. I did hear back from Bruce at RCS, he said that the Cooper is the same hardware as the TZ43, but it has different firmware. He did not know what the differences were between his and the Cooper.
