some updates on the software:

1. bb now has 2 o/s versions. 4.1 & above and 4.3 & above. the latter of which is for full rtsp mpg4 support. there are a list of tested cameras for mpg4 on the blog at Total Control Blog

2. rtsp is currently being ported over to android and winmo. will update when it is ready.

3. winmo now checks for which type of device you have (pda/touchscreen types vs. non touchscreen) and installs the proper version for which one you have.

4. there is a controls reference guide at Total Control Reference Guide

5. the android manual is published. winmo coming soon (before this giveaway is over).

6. seems there is a bug for some people on cellular download of android version. it is a bug with the carrier truncating the download. always download via wifi preferably just in case. the error you get from cellular is either 'download unsuccessful' or 'install unsuccessful'.

7. ISC West went well so look for some updates to come especially for direct dvr and nvr support.

8. also CTIA was interesting. look for a generic Symbian version coming up.

1. changed multicam version names to just match how many video feeds you want to control. i.e. Multicam4 = 4 cam version, Multicam8 = 8 cam version, etc.

2. revamped the blackberry version.
  • total UI rewrite
  • support for jpg, mjpg, rtsp, & rtpoverhttp for supported models
  • support for dual stream cams (both streams)
  • added new manufacturers to the supported list; mostly commercial end companies like bosch, sentry360, basler, sanyo, lumenera, etc.
  • auto resize video function (toggle on/off) to fit screen
  • on screen button controls as well as menu button
  • better Storm support
  • faster loading of app, camera list, etc.
  • cellular optimization for different carrier networks
  • direct select on screen fields
  • more...check the blog

3. iphone updates
  • cellular opitmization routines. we are currently one of the very few on app store to support UNLIMITED cellular video (most limit to 30 seconds - 2 minutes). we have also been able to optimize the cellular experience for many of the supported models.
  • versions renamed again like blackberry. Multicam4 = 4 cam feed, Multicam8 = 8 cam feed, etc.
  • Apple approves all versions and all are on the App Store
  • added an audible alert for the snapshot button

4. created larger versions due to demand. we now have 32 & 64 feed versions for larger setups.

5. joined Axis Application Development Partner Program. Going to their HQ to train their personnel in July on all interfaces.

6. join us at ESX in Baltimore June 22-26. We are OEM a special version for a dvr company at the show. If anyone is going to be there and wants to meet up let me know. We will also be demoing at various hardware partner booths to show live demos with each of them.
