TS07 Issue

I discovered an issue with the TS07 the other day and I made ELK aware of the problem. The F keys on the TS07 do not track the keypad that the TS07 mimics. What this means is if you have the keypad F keys set to double press or requires code the TS07 fires them with a single press. I learned the hard way when moving a test TS07 and accidentally pressed an F key once. I had to apologize to the Fire department for coming out. I'm not sure how long the fix will take but be aware if you have kids that a single press of an F key may send the police to your door.

The "double key press" and the "requires code" for the function keys is not in the current ascii protocol for the M1 in which the TS07 uses.

Does that mean that CQC/ML would suffer from the same issue? For me, I have kids, so "requires code" is the first option I turned on. Is that something that could get "fixed" in the future?

On the same topic, in my previous house, I had a random ADT panel (not sure what brand) and the panel had simultaneous keypresses to signify panic, police, fire... (like 1+* = fire, *+#=police, 3+#=medical). I thought that was a good compromise between having to enter a code and immediately triggering key (or even double keypress, which is not really kid-proof).

I think in CQC or ML you would just be a little more creative in what you do - like if a button is pressed you can throw up a popup asking for confirmation or something. You would use the power of the software and interface design to behave however you want and then just send the right info to Elk when you want.

The "double key press" with the touchscreen could be done with a Rule in the M1.

Good input for the future!!

Thanks.
