UPB Phase Couplers and Repeaters

Running into some signal strengh issues on the other phase. I have a HAI phase coupler installed. When running test with Upstart will get signal strength levels less than 5 in some instances. Was looking to add a repeater to the system but see the issues concerning using Gen 1 switches with the repeaters (which I have about 20). Wondering if there was any reason you could not use both. The repeater for reliably sending messages and have the coupler for the return message on Gen 1 stuff. We are in a high-rise condo building so the transformer is 18 floors down so not close.

The problem with the coupler is that one of the phases has a weaker signal strength due to the power for the coupler coming off that phase. So find the phase with the weaker strength and try and connect that to the phase with the shortest distance to the UPB equipment.

Work2Play not sure what part you did not follow. Basically trying to figure out if the system will work better with both Phase coupler and repeater installed.

Sorry, it was InspiredTim's response I didn't get.

I use all Phase I which isn't compatible with repeaters so I don't know the answer, but I'm interested in learning. I only use phase couplers.
