Vizia RF Dimmer Heating Up

I was changing faceplate on a Vizia RF dimmer when I realized the metal plate around the rocker was pretty hot. I checked a couple more and the ones that were on for bit were hot to the touch and the ones that were off were fine. Is this normal heat disipation? It does seem kind of odd to me. I will check the wiring tomorrow but I am pretty sure it is hooked up right and not overloading the dimmer.

Mine get pretty warm here and they're of the 600W incandescent variety... I can feel the warmth through the faceplates. I believe it cools down when at 100% as well. I think that's just dimmers though - my lutron slider in my office gets warm too

Thanks that is basically my situation. I have 600w incadescent dimmers that get warm thru the faceplate.
