Wiring multiple sensors in a single zone

Not sure whether this is even the right place to ask this question and it is also a basic one, but hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.
I am setting up a VISTA 20P right now and have wired contacts on all external windows that will be normally closed. Where there are 2 or 3 windows in a room I have them all wired to a junction box then a single wire running back to the panel.
I think I understand how to connect all the wires in the junction box in series so that if any one of the windows is opens it will break the circuit and alarm,  but my question is whether it matters on the sensors themselves which wire is on which terminal. I am thinking not, but then it gets tricky when wiring the junction box to make sure the loop is consistent.
Hope this makes sense and someone can give me some guidance on this basic question.
Thanks!

No, there's no polarity on regular normally closed alarm contacts so as long as they are properly wired in series, your wiring should work.
