Z-Wave issues with Neptune R900 RF Automated Meter Reading?

My water utility wants to replace my existing outside touch-pad water meter reader with a Neptune R900 RF Automated Meter Reader (AMR) unit. According to the Neptune documentation, it uses frequency hopping between 910 and 920 MHz to minimize interference and transmits every 14 seconds. Since Z-Wave is running at 908.42MHz (US), there shouldn't, in theory, be a problem.

But, does anyone actually have this combination in service? TIA

Dan,

Thanks for your response.

The R900 unit in question is discussed here http://neptunetg.com/userfiles/file/products/R900%20RF%20MIU%20Wall%20or%20Pit/Publication_IM%20R900%2001_10.pdf.

The R900 would attach to your physical water meter, e.g. a Neptune T-10, and probably be located on the exterior of your house.

I just want to make sure the lights don't go on when you flush the toilet :D .

Just checked, I do have the R900, and have various Z-Wave devices very close to this device.
