I just chatted with my wife about the Schlage and Kwikset models and discussed how each works. She liked the idea of being able to lock the door remotely (Kwikset) in the case that a serviceman or family member left the house and didn't lock the door back.
The one thing I do prefer about the Schlage is that it does come with the reinforcement plate, which is screwed into the door framing studs. From looking at the Kwikset installation manual, it doesn't appear that it comes with one. I suppose this may be something that I could do separately, so not a deal breaker, but would have been nice to have been included.
