Z Wave setup recommendations on a budget

Hello all,

I have a few tasks for my list

1) Need to get a security setup (was just thinking of getting ELK for this? - including 1 keypad in mbr, 1 keypad in mudroom. Prewired, just have to poke into wall to find. This will control mostly wired PIRs, Windows, DoorMagnets, etc

2) Need simple Zwave home auto for
a) Locks
B) Thermostats
c) Garage Doors
d) check to make sure doors closed (security)
e) Phone/Web Access (iphone)

I do not want to do anything with complex lighting, etc. However, the ability to add zwave cameras, etc, would be nice.

Whats a good solution. I was going to get new schlage locks, saw link, brought me back to this website :(

You should check out the HomeSeer forum for some Z-Wave solutions. HomeSeer can control the Schlage and the newer Kwikset Z-Wave enabled locks as well as the stats, etc. HomeSeer also has an iPhone/iTouch/iPad interface http://board.homeseer.com
