Haiku Geographical region

Hi,
 
The geographical region works well for me as it was not as reliable or precise in Haiku.  The issue I am having is that even though I am in the area, the flag gets turned on all the time and I am getting a message that I have entered the area.  This causes routines to run.  I have set a toggle for the flag to avoid this but wanted to see if anyone has a solution.

I have since learned that when I leave my region, the flag does not consistently turn off.  I was wondering if there is a way I can check this every few minutes to be more accurate?
