Elk Keypad (M1KP2) and speaker (SP12F) - How To Install

At each keypad location I ran CAT6 + Speaker cable into a double gang LV box from Carlon.  The ELK-SP12F came with a wall mount plate (no screws just "glued" on I think.  In order to attach the speaker to the M1-KP2 keypad do I just pry the wall plate from the speaker?

Also, how would I put the KP2 into the flush mount kit (M1BBK2)?  Would I need to remove my double gang LV box and cut into the sheetrock?

Here's an old thread that explains how to mount the speaker.  You break off the tabs that retain it in the SP12F wall plate, and then use small screws to mount it in the back box.

The back box won't mount over a double gang electrical box.  You need to remove it and modify the opening to fit the back box.

The links to the photos in the original thread don't seem to work any longer.  But I was able to find them on Google and placed them in my gallery for future reference.

Does anyone know if I need to run two extra wires to run this speaker behind the keypad or does the keypad have a speaker output?

The keypad does not have a speaker output.  You will need to run wires to Output 1 on the M1 for the speaker and must wire it with any other speakers in a way to stay above 4 ohms.   I used a terminal strip to break out the output and get it wired in series/parallel properly.
