    OmniPro II Ethernet Issue

Thanks Pete. That's what I was afraid of. I do have a backup of everything in PC Access.

    OmniPro II Ethernet Issue

Hi Guys, I used to be pretty active here but I've been gone for many years now. MY OPII has been chugging along happily for years but recently some automation stopped working. When I went to connect w/ PC Access to look at or reload the automations I could not connect. I tried everything via...

Ring Pro Doorbell and Elk 960/930

Has anyone setup a Ring doorbell with an Elk 930 or 960? I've had my regular lighted bell trigger a 960 then a 930 which triggered a song on my Nuvo and its worked great for years. I installed a Ring Pro doorbell and I can't get either to work. It doesn't seem like pressing the button on the...

Haiku Haiku 4 is going to be revolutionary, add your suggestions

I know I am delirious but Haiku on Android with tasker plugin/interface would be absolutely awesome. Haiku is the one thing I miss on Android and there is nothing close. It's kinda weird, since Android is more of a tech geek platform than iOS, Haiku would be such a great fit there. Oh well, I'll...

Haiku Switched to Android what are my options?

Thanks, I'll take a look at that but I imagine I would then have to script out all notifications. I would rather HH send the notifications based on the Notification tab configuration. I guess another option would be to use email and just use the email to txt/sms address to receive it as an SMS...

Haiku Switched to Android what are my options?

I have been a long time user of both Haiku and Haiku Helper. Due to several circumstances my phone is changing to Android. I will continue to use Haiku on my iPads and Helper on my mini. The really important issue for me is receiving prompt and reliable messages. Currently I have HH configured...

    Console Beep Failure

So all of the sudden (meaning no changes or anything) I noticed the audible exit beep stopped working on all consoles. I checked all settings (even reset them) and also power cycled the panel and no luck. So I tried adding a simple automation block when a zone is violated to beep. No matter what...

    More LED bulb options

Yea, I think I know what you are talking about but to me its more of a flicker. I am 99% sure what I am seeing at least is a flicker or change of brightness with UPB traffic on the powerline. I only seem to notice it when there is increased activity - like a scene, etc.

Which UPB switch do you recommend?

As long as I've been called out... With all due respect, and I do mean that honestly, you tell others to watch their tone when English isn't even their first language (pretty obvious from their location and grammar) but I could make a pretty big deal about your tone in this comment. If I didn't...

    Nuvo LSA40 Local Source Amp

I think you are on the right track with grounding issue. They can present in many different ways. It could also be a ground loop which will often present as a hum or whine. Ground loops are a royal PITA to track down and eliminate and sometimes its not even worth the effort. You can Google...

    Nuvo LSA40 Local Source Amp

I've found that most TV's line out is fixed as it is designed to plug into a stereo amp/receiver with its own volume control. When I looked, LG was the only player that had variable line out. Does your TV have a headphone jack? The headphone jack will be controllable via the TV/Remote and will...

    More LED bulb options

I have been watching this thread and the LED trend since the start. I have mostly recessed PAR30 lamps throughout the house. For many years I have used a roughly 900 lumen daylight (roughly 5000k) flood. Rooms (usually in banks of 6) would be set to come on at either 35% or 50% and we would ramp...

HAI OmniPro II with relay and Liftmaster 8550 garage door opener

I'll leave that project to someone else :). Todd linked to your how-to in post 2. I referred to some other threads on this subject but didn't search for the links.

    Can OPII email notices?

Yes, you can do it with Haiku Helper but that requires a Mac and the software, it's not native to the panel (like Elk is with the XEP).

To Elk or not to Elk ...

And then, as I always used to say is the hybrid, where you have the best of both worlds. I think it comes down to a simple question - do you need/want an alarm/security system? The Elk/HAI are security systems at their core with some great automation layered on top. If you need the...
