Just finished a project installing 6 TV's, all fed by Uverse boxes that are connected with Vanco HDMI over Single Cat6 adapters. While the picture has been trouble-free, I've been having repeated issues with the the IR transmitters on the Vanco's that control the set-top boxes. Sometimes they just stop working and require the IR cables to be unplugged and plugged back in and then they work fine for a while. This keeps happening on 1 or 2 TV's and is obviously unacceptable. Has anyone has similar issues and know of a fix?

Should not be an issue. You should be able to go 165' at 1080P.
Although the Xantech should work, is there a reason you aren't using the emitters that came with the unit?
