My connection from the M1G to my Indigo setup has been neglected for quite some time.
I have been trying to get it up and running again this weekend, but I am having trouble with the ELK-M1XEP.
I don't see its MAC address showing up on my router.
I have power cycled it and plugged it in and...
Everything was working fine for years till a few weeks ago.
I have an M1G with the XEP connected. I have Indigo set up on my iMac that communicates with the M1G to run automations and such.
Indigo stopped being able to connect a while back I am just getting around to working on the...
Thanks Mike!
I finally got the intermediate versions loaded in RP and then the process went like a charm.
it seems like it was necessary to go to 1.3.28 first
Mike,
That is precisely my problem. I only have one version to choose from in that drop down. I cant figure out how to (1) get the other versions and (2) get them into RP2 so they will show up on that list.
Thanks again!
Alex
Sorry, I guess I did not explain well.
I am using RP2 to do the updates. I used RP2 to download the firmware/bootware updates, but it only seems to retrieve the latest ones for each device. So I have the most recent XEP firmware and bootware, but not any intermediate versions.
Is it possible to...

Thanks for the reply Mike.
I followed the directions, but I get the message about the Bootware being too old whether I try the Bootware update or the Firmware update.
I am trying to update the firmware/bootware to the new version that is supposedly more email friendly.
(currently at HW 1.0, boot 1.1.4, firmware 1.2.8)
When I try to do it via RP2, it tells me:
"Firmware is not compatible with existing Hardware or Bootware..." even when I try to update the...
So a couple months ago, two days after the company came out to check and de-winterize the system, it gets fried by lighting. At least this is what seems to have happened. The RainBird controller was literally blown open and all blackened inside. There was no damage to any electronics in the...
Thanks for the link.
I dug around there for a while, but it looks rather more involved than I am willing to get.
I did rig it up using the SerialBridge code and a long wire to port 0 last night. It works like a charm now. The code just needs a bit of tweaking, but AppleScript I can handle.
Nuts.
I don't think I can rig up a virtual serial port like that on my Mac. At least not with my current level of knowledge.
Since I don't really use RP at all, I am thinking that I may just end up taking the XEP out and connecting the Mac to port 0.
You'll know it worked when you see my XEP on...
