I have one in the exact situation you have.  900 foot uphill.  I found that I had to place the receiver on an outside wall (receiver is inside).  When it was in my wiring closet, it was not 100% reliable.

The PS "+" and "-" is an input from your litetouch power supply, the SW "+", "-", and "D" are the 3 wires that run too al the switches (getting the power from the power supply).

Are you going to have the Arduino use the same 4 wires?    I was looking at just replacing the switches with something else that talks with a PC and the PC sends commands to the litetouch LC5000 controller to control modules / groups, but I didn't find anything cheap enough that supports a...

If you have a gas pool heater indoors, you should make sure you have CO detectors - especially if the pool access is directly connected to the house.

You discover the M1 sends lots of arm / disarm command and keypad commands which make no sense.

I have all my speaker cables and control cables (cat-5) run to the same location as my security system. It gives you a bit more flexibility as you can put multiple amps / receivers and balance loads from a single location.
