Can not connect to my OmniPro II

You are 100% correct. Myro does report those items. It is only that the automation, connecting to the OPII, and using buttons and controliing light does not work correctly. All of my items were originally set up on the same subnet, and still are. They are on a WRT Linksys router which is...

Can not connect to my OmniPro II

You are correct about Myro and I can see those areas. I use Myro mostly for lights and A/C. Inter-action with security is primarily handled with access keypad and door lock. Thank you for suggesting the USB/Serial connection. First I was going to try connecting directly with an Ethernet...

Can not connect to my OmniPro II

Last week, when I updated my automation program with a new block, I checked off all but the Extended box, and hit send and then looked away. About 2 seconds later. I looked back and I was expecting to see it deleting the old program but it said, I believe “Waiting”. I had never seen that...

OmniTouch 5 32A00-5 not showing GUI

Hello dwalt and thank you for your following up. I had other priorities, which are rarely allowed to take precedence over HA, but I am slowly, now, getting back into an HA mode. In hopes of selling my home soon, a fully functional system is important. Right now I limp along using Myro:Home...

OmniTouch 5 32A00-5 not showing GUI

I am curious it says in the 32A00-05 installation manual, at the end: "RESETTING THE TOUCHSCREEN If for any reason the touchscreen needed to be reset, remove the face plate and press the reset button marked "SW1" on the circuit board below the LED." Does anyone happen to...

OmniTouch 5 32A00-5 not showing GUI

I have to re-read stuff as I thought that the 32A00-5s had 8 wires and keypads, I know have 4. So how does one attached 8 wire to 4 terminals. If i saw something that described doing this, I would have tried it but hesitant to do such.

OmniTouch 5 32A00-5 not showing GUI

dwalt - I couldn't find what you described I might do in either the attached manual or the OP II Install Manual. Are you suggesting I hook an OmniTouch to the four terminals where you would attach a regular keypad on the OP II board itself? Thanks, Jim

OmniTouch 5 32A00-5 not showing GUI

Hello pete_c: Thanks for getting back to me. I have two RS-45 connectors plugged into the Camera/console Hub, 32A31, one for each console. The only other wires are the two and ground connecting to the controller board. Not certain of how I would flash the the device and with what. This is an...

OmniTouch 5 32A00-5 not showing GUI

My previous post dealt with network problems I had trying to connect to my OmniPro II, which I was finally able to get it to do with the help of forum members that stuck with me for a few days. But now, since remedying the network connect problem, when the system came up on reboot, the two...

Went to download changes to OPII program, and when it started downloading, there was a network error with the controller.

Just installed the PCA 3.17 about 4 minutes ago and set the time, and then went to the appropriate place in PCA to put my Zip and a minute later, Allison (who's voice is used on the annunciator) said, "30 minutes to sundown" (which I encoded in the automation for various reasons), was "music to...

Went to download changes to OPII program, and when it started downloading, there was a network error with the controller.

I have also been trying to find a 4.0 chip. But do you not need PCA 4 to run it have never heard of it. I believe the PCA3 I have goes to to 3.15, at least that were the choices in the error message pull down list. I say a post recently written by someone who said the had some chip and left them...

Went to download changes to OPII program, and when it started downloading, there was a network error with the controller.

That is beyond my present knowledge. Att has blocked getting into portions of that router and I have too many things that are further up on my priority list. This was not an intentional project....it happened, and it affected so much of my daily living, I had to deal with it immediately. Now it...

Went to download changes to OPII program, and when it started downloading, there was a network error with the controller.

Hello dwalt: That was my mistake thinking the the 3 254s. for the subnet mask. It is not 254, it as you say, 255. My careless mistake in an attempt to speedily answer you qestion as this, as are all technical challenges we have now a days, seem to take forever to resolve! The HAI address is...

Went to download changes to OPII program, and when it started downloading, there was a network error with the controller.

I have downloaded the program to the controller using the original network topography, numbering and cabling. I was shocked but extremely happy...and still have my fingers crossed, not my cable strands. I believe Pete's recommendation of not plugging the cable into the ethernet port seems like...

Went to download changes to OPII program, and when it started downloading, there was a network error with the controller.

Again just to be sure, everything was working fine until 2 weeks ago, or so, I download some changes to the program and then walked away. When I return three days later, I could the fact I not connect to the controller started. It has happened before so it should have been no big deal. Only...
