On what distro is Meteohub based? If it's Debian based then a simple apt-get install autoconf should suffice. HTH --Hans

Hi Eric, I use both: to connect the boards together I use the RJ45 sockets, but for the branch lines I use the screw terminals, e.g. the raingauge is connected with the screw terminals to the solar board, which is connected to the next temp board by means of the RJ45 connector. HTH Hans

From what I understand the VP USB problem is related to software setting something wrong in the hardware. With regards to the USB 1-wire sensor: I have never run anything 1-wire with Windows, simply because I don't have Windows. So I guess the world's dominant OS is screwing up again. :P But...

I really don't understand that remark. I use the usb interface and know other people how do too, and it is rock solid. So in which way is the serial better than the usb one? --Hans

What you fail to mention is what OS you are running. WD runs on Win/Mac/Linux so that is your best bet. For Linux I prefer w1retap. --Hans

Rereading my post I notice that I made a mistake: the current I get with infinite resistance is around -0.13, not -1.3. So when you got a current of around -1.3 you definitely had a working sensor. Now that it's getting dry you will probably also end around -0.13 mA. Sorry for the mistake...

Buy some DS18S20 sensors from Hobby Boards and a USB adapter and start experimenting. Just solder the sensors to a CAT5 cable (blue for signal, blue/white for ground) and place them somewhere. Otherwise buy Hobby Board sensor boards and connect them with network cables. Then you find you want to...
