Hi all,
I found this software and like the screen shots that I see.
I downloaded it and now I don't have a clue where to start.
I don't find any help file.
Anybody use this program that could give me some clues?
Thanks, Mike

Don't get in each others way looking over this software :-)

Sorry, my Finnisch is not quite upto scratch ;)

Seriously, I use w1retap on my Linux box for polling the 1-wire network. Great piece of software if you like building a 1-wire network from scratch.

Nice! - Suppose it is understandable now!

Lämpömittari can only measure and display temperatures, if there is a need of measuring humidity and temp, the LOGTEMP software could be used.

Thanks for the help on this. I'll have some time try it later.
At this time all I want to display is temperature.
From what I could see it could be configured to display a lot of
analog meters. That is what I want.
Thanks, Mike

Hi Guys,
I have the Lampomittari software reading temps on the digital display part, however I cannot figure out
how to make the analog displays work. I can get the window to display (or 5 windows, one for each sensor)
but nothing is in the window.
Any help?
Mike

Just a short tip, as it is late in the evening here in Sweden, and bed is waiting!

You should use the AnalogConfigurator.exe located in Program\TSa.

Hi christerm,
Hope you got a good nights sleep.
I don't know anything about TSa or where to find it.
Is it part of Lampomittari or a separate download.
I really appreciate your help on this, I think this program
will display just what I need. I have 13 sensors I want to display.
Thanks, Mike

Hi Mike,

Thanks

I suppose that you installed Lämpmittari without changing anything in during the installation process.

Then the TSa-folder is to be found in the Program-folder:
Lamp1.png

The exe-file AnalogConfigurator looks like this, when started:
Lamp2.png

Also read the Readme.txt file in the TSa-folder as there is additional information on how to set up the analog display.

To be onest, I am not using the analog function in Lämpömittari, only the graph and digital function. So this is kind of new to me as well. But anyhow, it would be nice to gain knowledge on how to set up the analog function also. So I will have a look in to the analog function set up in the comming days.

I removed images.

Thanks, that moved me ahead. I don't know what to put in the Background image and Mask image.
I used the bitmaps in the readme file but the needle I created doesn't appear in the bitmap.
I don't know if I'm supposed to create my own bitmap, and how do I get my needle to show in my bitmap?
Thanks for the help, Mike

That's as far as I got too! So now we have to enter the Land of "trial and error" :)

Getting back as soon as there is anything new to communicate.

And of course.... please, let my know about your progresses in this matter.

Regards
Christer

It's funny, I've worked through the instructions I translated, and can never get a reading, always the red light in the corner. I've tried two different PCs and two different adapters, one master hub, and one USB 9490. They all work with LogTemp, and the 1-wire software.

Surely I'm missing something simple, I've been through the setup, and tried ever serial and USB port, still nothing.

Disclaimer;
I'm as lost as anyone and had help getting as far as I have.

Here's what I have done, but I don't know what parts are
important to the analog displays.
First, create a file. I made a file called C:\tempdata\
Now open Lampomattari and click on the wrench/screwdriver.
This opens the SETUP box
In the SETUP box that opens find Datapath and type your file name,
I don't know you might have to use the file search at the end of
the Datapath box to enter it.
Save it.
Click on Mikrolan on the upper right of the SETUP box.
Find your correct adapter, and port.
(I don't know why, when I used 1 wireviewer it was port 1, but
Lampomittari didn't work until I told it port 2.)
Save it.
Click on groups on the upper right of the SETUP page.
Click on NEW GROUP and put a name on the group,
When you OK this all your sensors should show up under "all sensors".
Move the sensors you want under that group name to the right.
Save it.
You should have a + sign on temperature sensors in the SETUP box.
click on it. You can set high and low temps in here, click on the arrows
and see what they have.
Hope that gets you a little farther.

I have the digital display running with 5 sensors, four are in a freezer
and one is measuring outdoor temperature. I just pulled it up to see and
and the outdoor sensor is RED meaning it is over temperature. This is perfect!!!
All I want is a quick look to see if a freezer has quit working. The RED sticks
out like "HEY YOU NEED TO CHECK THAT FREEZER" I might end up just using the
digital displays.

I see the software author said "I do not like writing manuals whatsoever"
It would be nice if we could put a HOWTO file together to help the next guy.
