Lämpömittari Software help

Just got the analog meter to work!

Entered values suggested for "Big meter" in Readme.txt into the AnalogConfigurator:

Big meter
-----------------------------------
Background image bitmaps\back.bmp
Mask image bitmaps\mask.bmp
Needle length 80
Needle width 3
Max value 67
Min value -17
Max angle 9.0
Min angle 260.0
Origo X 113
Origo Y 103

Then I had to wait a couple of minutes and this was the result:

ana_Utomhus_test4.png

Yes, its only
cuf_co.png
in South Sweden right now ;)

Now, the tricky thing to figure out will be how to change the values in AnalogConfigurator in order to correspond to what you want.

I suppose you can make your own kind of image of the meter and then add it to the bitmaps-folder, as long as it is a .bmp image.

Hey Christer,
Glad to see you had progress! I'll try again tonight, maybe I didn't wait long enough for it to respond.
I thought I could use paint and make a bitmap of a meter, I didn't have any luck getting it to display.

I have the digital display running with 5 sensors, four are in a freezer
and one is measuring outdoor temperature. I just pulled it up to see and
and the outdoor sensor is RED meaning it is over temperature. This is perfect!!!
All I want is a quick look to see if a freezer has quit working. The RED sticks
out like "HEY YOU NEED TO CHECK THAT FREEZER" I might end up just using the
digital displays.

I see the software author said "I do not like writing manuals whatsoever"
It would be nice if we could put a HOWTO file together to help the next guy.

How do you reset an alarm after it has had an over temperature event?

In answer to my own question, it looks like if you wait a few cycles it will
reset itself.

I've had the Lampomittari software running for about 2-1/2 weeks now.
I'm happy with it's operation, I can quickly verify if any of my 13 freezers
are over a set high temp alarm. As a freezer is emptied I move it's number
to the empty freezer group, empty freezers are off so the over temp alarm turns the
display red. All freezers in operation have a white display unless it is over temperature.
I recommend the program for anyone that has a need for temperature display.

Hi there, sorry to bring up bit old thread, but I just happened to found out about this Lämpömittari software and while searching information about how to make custom analog temperature gauges to work found this site and this very discussion.

I'm finn, so all instructions in finnish are much easier for me to understand than others, however I have not been able to find anything in Finnish and elektroniikka.org forum seems to be disappeared.

I can make my custom analog gauge, but I can't make mask for it, I have tried many different bmp formats, I have tested setting transparent color, but I always loose needle, or facial details, so I have typed to mask file path 'no' in analogconfigurator.exe and I can get at least some custom gauge, but it will be without mask so I have to adjust needle accordingly.

At title bar of analogconfigurator.exe you can see coordinates and angle, set first origin of needle (pivot point), then check max and min value ange with your mouse pointer, read angle from title bar and input those numbers to max and min angle, set temperature to those numbers you can see in your custom gauge, click set, then save, type in your custom gauge name and when you launch Lämpömittari, choose add analog gauge, choose your sensor and when default gauge appears right click it and choose from list your custom gauge name which you did save your gauge settings earlier.

Not best looking that way, but at least it does work.

Ok, I think that I got it now, make sure that you have at least one transparent pixel in your background image (use transparent layer and for example for corners of your gauge use transparent (for example transparent layer) instead of black, it will show as black in Lämpömittari software), now make your mask image and again use transparent layer, this is method how I got it working when using GIMP2 as image editor.

Maybe this helps someone, you can ask if you have questions from this and I try to answer to those :)
