I have noticed 3 times in a few months that in the logs of me Elk M1 that it seems to restart. I notice 2 things: Home Assistant alerts me it has lost connectivity to the Elk and I hear an audible beep on one or more keypads. The logs on the elk show
1367= SYSTEM START UP
1353 = DIALER AUTO...
I think I got it working. I setup an output in the elk and HA can control it. I added a AND IF to the automation when its on or off. I think the output being like output64 won't cause me any trouble since I don't believe I have a physical output that high anyway?
Hey guys I am trying to get some things to work between HA and my Elk. I just don't know the elk well enough but I recently moved all the elk automation for my water sensors and water valves to the elk. I would like to be able to set a switch in HA that would then set a switch in the ELK that...
Hey guys I am pretty new to programming automations in the Elk M1 Gold - I know im late to the party. I've been working with Home Assistant mostly and I don't want to rely on it any longer for my water valve routine. What I want to do is if a water sensor is triggers to turn on the output to...
I realize this is old. I have 5 doors and I wired 4 doors and the 5th at the end is a slider with a GRI door sensor that has the built-in resistor. it's been flapping at odd times. I was convinced the issue was the gap between the slider and the sensor. I tested it with magnets and it...
So they are on separate zones. There is a jumper on the sensor on how to behave. I tried to link the page to show that it has its own end-of-line resistor wiring leads (its very different) that I don't know if it is inline or parallel. Either way it's behaving like it is safe on both zones -...
Hey guys - I am a former Omnipro guy moved to ElkM1 and for some reason I appear brain dead. I have 2 CO detectors from the same manufacturer installed. One is new and I looked up the wiring and had it all wrong. I have since fixed it but it has a alarm relay type jumper. I couldn't get the...
You were spot on! I had to, in my reconfiguration, renumber my zones and with that, I had some issues. I checked the automation which was the wrong zone which is missing. I think I am fixed up now. Thanks for the excellent help!
I type my code but they persist. Is there a place I have to type the user code? If I type the user code in the "regular" area I think it will try to arm the alarm?
I've pressed * a BUNCH and they still remain :(
Hey guys I am still wrapping my head around how to use this Elk M1. I swear the Omnipro was more intuitive and perhaps it was just using it for longer but I have multiple notices on my keypads I can't get to go away. When I look at the display is scrolls through a couple of messages and I have...
So I called Elk and got a lot of help. I had the wireless receiver on id 2 and the expander input board on id 2 as well. They can't be on the same ID like keypads can. Also, I was told that I can't have the wireless device connected to the bus it needs to be connected to the databus hub.
