    GFI breaker protected controlled outlet

I installed an outlet in my eaves for 120V incandescent string lights over my deck. In my situation the only code compliant way to GFI protect the outlet is using a GFI breaker if using a Insteon Micro Module behind the outlet.   I had already installed an Insteon Micro Module behind the outlet...

    Elk M1XEP mounting

I had a hard time planning how I would mount my M1XEP when I was considering the purchase, I couldn't seem to find info about mounting it in a can, so I thought I would post some pictures of what I ended up with. The M1XEP comes in a plastic enclosure which I removed it from. I mounted the M1XEP...

    Keystone four conductor speaker modules?

Here's an option for a tabletop enclosure, they have 1, 2 and 3 gang enclosures. I have no idea what the cost is.     https://www.extron.com/mobile/products/product.aspx?id=smb110series&subtype=11#aspnetForm

    Arming in STAY vs. AWAY

I don't want Z1 bypassable since it's a door and I have other zones set to bypassable and I sometimes use Bypass 999 to bypass all bypassable zones that are violated if I did that Z1 would get bypassed with it.

    Knowing what zone triggered alarm

I have an Elk M1G panel with two keypads by our most used entrances.  I don't have a keypad in my master bedroom or anywhere in the back of the house.  I've noticed when testing the Elk M1G it doesn't announce which zone triggered the alarm.  I can tell from the keypad display which zone...

    EOL with NO or NC

I have an Elk M1G panel. Most of my sensors are NC door and window hardwired sensors. I wired an EOL resistor in series with the zone wire at the senor. I programmed the zone to EOL. Works good, no complaints. I wired a panic button defined as 23=Police Alarm NO with a EOL resistor in...

Insteon appliance module and LED puck lights

This sounds crazy but at the advice of Smarthome I think I solved this by plugging the module into an extension cord instead of directly in the wall.

    2 conductor armored cable

Yes the armored cable on the garage door sensor is just what I'm looking for. I just want to buy the cable. It is much smaller in diameter than what is sold in the electrical supplies. I've got two of those garage door sensors but the lead isn't long enough for what I need. Same with the door...

    2 conductor armored cable

I'm looking for some 22/2 or 22/4 armored cable to use on an exterior gate sensor. I'm more worried about wacking it with the weedeater or other yard tools than I am someone cutting. I need about 10'. Does anyone know where I can order some armored cable that is in the 22 gauge range and...
