    Elk M1G: Fire Trouble

Guys: I just finished wiring up my smokes (429AT model) and started up my M1 for the first time. The only items connected to my system are the smoke detectors, keypad, siren, and speaker. Upon startup I receive a "fire trouble" message on the display as the keypad beeps. The 429AT is a 2-wire...

Choosing a siren for the Elk M1

My new house is nearing the end of construction and the time has come to install the devices at the end of each of those wires I ran a few months ago. WOOHOO! I'm in the process of ordering my sensors and sirens. I was reviewing the Elk M1 installation manual and noticed that the Out 2...

I'm planning on using these sensors http://www.automatedoutlet.com/product.php...&cat=198&page=1 which are described as closed...

EOL Resistor Type - Elk M1

Hi everyone. First off I'd just like to thank everyone who takes the time to post on this board. I've spent the last couple of months lurking and taking in the wealth of information here. I'm in the process of building a new home. I'll be running my prewire this weekend. I've purchased all of...
