I highly recommend Dynamat in-ceiling back-boxes for any speaker being installed in a hollow ceiling cavity, an unconditioned attic space and/or being installed in a boundary surface adjacent to another living space where noise transfer is an issue [i.e. bedroom]. They are retro-fittable...

Try Muxlab's passive baluns...I've had excellent success with these. They offer a YPrPb + S/PDIF Coaxial or a YPrPb + Stereo Audio over *single* CAT5e or CAT6 data cable. I've never observed signiificant PQ loss for distances up to 100 ft, though I do use Belden "low skew" CAT6 cable in my...
