I doubt it -- but maybe I can appeal to the lightening never strikes twice theory (and at least I could get a drop in replacement for a UPB controller if necessary).
Thanks for the suggestions.
I'm reluctant to go with another single (small) vendor solution to avoid being in the same position again ... and the only pricing I can see around On-Q suggests >$200 a switch which seems excessive.
C-Bus was suggested on the CQC forums too. Not sure it would work...
I put in an EDT iLine system for lighting control ~4 years ago into a new home, daisy chained CAT5 to each switch (4 branches from a central hub). EDT went bankrupt a few months later :(
A near lightening strike last week appears to have taken out the controller. It still powers the network...
Skynet?
I stuck with the Greek theme, but was much more boring. The main server is called 'alpha' ... when I get a backup I suppose it would be beta. Most other machines are named for their location/function so I don't have to think about which machine is which.
Yeah, it is a lot ... in retrospect probably too many. There are 3 distinct systems: 2 electric Legalett heaters downstairs that are responsible for heating the ground floor slab, one with 4 zones and one with 3. Upstairs there is a hydronic baseboard system with 5 zones and a single...
I am looking for advice on how to integrate my heating system with an Elk M1.
There are 12 heat only zones in total (seemed like a good idea at the time...) that each have their own 24VAC thermostat. Currently they are a mix of programmable and plain old thermostats.
I want to hook these up...
Great -- that is perfect. I'm sold :)
I still need a final electrical inspection on the panel, so I'll wait until the labeling is sorted out to avoid any surprises.
Thanks for the excellent pre-customer service!
OK ... I am feeling a little slow here.
I have a standard 110V 200A service, and also have two circuits with 30A electric heaters attached to them. I'd like to be able to monitor the whole house usage, and also monitor the two (240V) heater circuits separately. My understanding of this device...
My WHS box lists DHCP and DNS as installable features ... not that I've tried installing them. Most devices are configured with static IP addresses, and I just you my routers DHCP for any ad-hoc clients.
I am not directly familiar with Technet, but does is license it grants you only valid as long as your subscription is ... so you would be paying $400 \ year?
Check our windows home server instead. This is basically Server 2003 with some extra stuff on top. I think the cost is around $170 OEM...
That is a risk, but very unlikely - if that were to happen then the whole security infrastructure of the internet basically collapses and you would be hearing about this as the headline story on CNN. If the attacker uses a self-signed cert then your browser will warn you about that as well, and...
Even if the DNS is poisoned the attacker can't fake the SSL certificate. Your browser should warn you when you go to https://mybank.com if the cert presented by the website isn't valid ... of course whether or not a user understands what that warning dialog means or just ignores it is another...
Great -- though are we talking about the PCI version.
http://www.m-audio.com/index.php?do=produc...D=PCIinterfaces doesn't list the 410. Can you post a link.
Thanks.
