I thought so too.   Prior to it used my gmail account no problem.   Bigger issue is the service seems to not like using any domain that you do not control. So if I used Leviton, Gmail, Yahoo!, etc, it'd have the same result. 

Just wanted to add my experience so far.    Contacted Leviton directly about the issue - wasn't aware of the GMAIL changes when it went down, so naturally Leviton told me to use SMTP2GO. It seemed to work except for the email to SMS since I have T-Mobile as well. 99% of my alerts are delivered...

  Same set up, works like a champ. Out of the way so I don't risk having anything hit it down low.

Fixed!!   The issue was the USB to Serial adapter. I found an old PC with serial port on mother board - no issues after that. Thanks for the recommendations!!

So far so good, it's lasting longer than it has in the past. Hopefully this was the issue.

Leviton told me that I need to clear alert checkboxes on email address entries that are blank, i.e. don't mark blank address spaces for alerts. I cleared all of the check boxes that aren't associated with address on the notifier config. Will test this out and post back.

Having the same issue too. Updated firmware and noticed emails were being missed. D1 light stays flashing until I reboot. From what I can tell, it does that when sending an email. I have them doubled to SMS and email, so far I've missed 2 false alarms because of it. I'm testing 10 half/full...
