Is my input section burned out?

No voltage between pin 13 and 4 so I assume my board is bad? Digital outputs are still working fine but not inputs.

Is polling required to latch a digital input

I'd like to send http post to my ISY whenever a digital input on my CAI is tripped. Looking at some of the loop examples that require testing the input and then doing some sort of delay seems like I could miss input changes that only last a few hundred ms unless I'm willing to poll at a rate...

BAT CDMA (CBAT) dual path bug....

I did that on Friday morning with the tech. We tested the system twice with only one or the other connected. Interestingly, the CBAT is used like a dialer and so if you have delay notification set in the 1832 to say 10 seconds and disarm alarm prior to that 10 seconds, it won't notify the...

BAT CDMA (CBAT) dual path bug....

Ahh. I see. Well I've been through 3 different routers since I this has been an issue. A d-link dir-655. Replaced 2 weeks ago with a TP-Linc AC5400 which was crap and had to be sent back because it kept dropping wifi and ethernet(not at the same time) and the UI would on the device would...

BAT CDMA (CBAT) dual path bug....

Confused. What difference would the DNS make I have not internet service? The CBAT won't be able to get to any DNS server unless I hosted my own locally.

BAT CDMA (CBAT) dual path bug....

Interesting. Wonder if it's firmware version related? I just got a new version a few weeks ago but Alarm Relay said they couldn't tell me which version it is. Is there a way to tell through the ip fob keypad or through DLS on a DSC?

That can be accomplished with a periodic watchdog but then the cellular path would have constant data use 24 hours a day even if its only a few bytes every minute or so to get a ping the service that it's alive. If that stops, then the service know it's no longer getting a ping and assumes the...

BAT CDMA (CBAT) dual path bug....

Mine does too as long as the CBAT doesn't have an IP address from the router. If the internet goes down but the intranet stays up which it will if you're router has power, then this is what happens with this device on the LATEST firmware. If you happen to have a router where you can configure...

BAT CDMA (CBAT) dual path bug....

I suspect they don't have a watch dog that pings the service so that it can properly switch over within x seconds after the IP path to the service is cut off. They did implement some sort of fix but it appears that what they did was simply fallback to cellular after x number of failed attempts...

BAT CDMA (CBAT) dual path bug....

That's what I have with my CBAT now if I unplugged the lan cable and let it go only over cellular and the response is pretty good. The remote fob app is a little slower over cellular. I'm about 500 feet from a Verizon cell tower. But I wanted dual path because even Verizon goes down once or...

Alarm Relay is the one that provided me with the CBAT as well as programming it. In California, boiler plate language designed to limit liability doesn't apply when it comes to gross negligence. Now that Alarm Relay knows about this issue, I'm sure they are taking steps to notify their customers.

Mine is underground too except where it pops up at the top of the cup-de-sac in a surface junction box so that comcast and pull new lines or disconnect lines for 4 houses that junction box serves. I guarantee you yours is similar and the professional criminals know exactly where to go to cut...

BAT CDMA (CBAT) dual path bug....

So in the case when a home invasion robber cuts your physical coax in an attempt to disable IP alarm monitoring, I guess they'd succeed then since your CBAT won't switch over for 10 minutes, right?

....which it would be as they have been notified and in writing and are aware of the bug that will prevent first responder notifications should the customers ISP drop since it won't fallback to cellular. If this was an unknown bug that they hadn't yet had a chance to address or warn...

BAT CDMA (CBAT) dual path bug....

I got a software update which sort of fixed it but not really. Prior to the update, the CBAT would never switch over to cellular as long as it had an active IP lease even if there was no actual internet. After the update, it switches over on a message by message basis with a pretty long...
