I just installed my first OmniStat and had the similar/same issue.  It is heat only so I needed the 24v Common connected which wasn't so it I kept hearing the relay click on/off every few seconds.

Thank you all who tried to help. I found the issue a few minutes ago. In the advanced tab of the io module config there was a checkbox to have the signal sent through a sequential transmitter.  I unchecked that box and it started working.
