0.3 lux b&w camera okay for night viewing

Just curious to know if 0.3 lux is reasonable for capture anything at night indoor? The area won't be total pitch black as it'll have street lights outside. But I want something reasonable.
 
Those numbers are crap unless they come from a reputable brand name.

Sony CCD does not mean a Sony camera, same for Panasonic.


Go black and white, don't get one with IR add on IR seperately if required. This assumes the cheapest possible solution, otherwise a 24 hour cam and seperate IR.

With a PTZ camera, I can see the the whole front part of the house remotely.
I used the indoor version of that camera (the 213) for work in dark conditions. You WILL need some external IR lighting if your in dark conditions as the one included with the camera is pretty weak and does not have a long range.

I like the fact that this Axis camera lets you remotely remove the IR cutoff lens for low light operations.
