12volt Stevenson fan instalation advice

I am in the process of setting up weather station and have so far daisy chained :- computer to power injector to barometer to temp/humid/solar using Cat 5 wire as shown on the Hobby Board site.
Can I use the 12v unregulated power (with ground) that comes out of the t/h/s unit (which comes from the power injector) to power a small (computer) 12v in a Stevenson screen or will this cause problems with the software?

It should work as long as the fan draws a small amount of current but it may introduce noise on the cable that could cause degradation of the 1-Wire network.

Also make sure that the fan is rated for the voltage on the unregulated line. I don't know what power supply you are using but our AC adapter puts out +15V or more which some fans may not like.
