14K sq ft, 3 breaker boxes, is UPB the way to go?

Cool! Any lessons learned or advice to share or did they just perform well out of the box? What sort of couplers/repeaters did you need?
The biggest issue was to have phase couplers in each of the breaker boxes and I did the UPStart programming in "areas". It was quicker to build the network, program offline and load the file in stages from 2 or 3 locations in the house than to try and "program all modified". The system has been in for 2 or 3 years now and I haven't had to go back in a long time (though I wouldn't anyways as the client ripped me off for about $15K. I'm a big pu$$y).

Thanks for all the help and advice guys! Using your help, and the internet here is the setup I am purchasing.

From Smart Home
ISY-99i/IR PRO INSTEON Compatible Automation Controller with Dual-Band PLM and IR Control $420.28
Venstar Thermostat - INSTEON Remote Control Thermostat 7-Day Programmable $200.00
SwitchLinc Relay - INSTEON Remote Control On/Off Switch (Non-Dimming), White $45.99 (i'll start out with 15 and see what happens)
Access Point - INSTEON Wireless Phase Coupler $39.99 (probably need 6)

I'd like to have two touch screens, so I am going to pickup either two used android tablets, or two used ipad 1 tablets and wall mount them. (its way cheaper than any of the insteon in wall touch screens i've found. I think this covers everything to get started and have a good base for my future home automation equipment. In the home automation world this stuff seems to be close to top notch.

Please throw your two cents in if you see something I am missing, otherwise I'll post back after everything is installed!

If you are in no big hurry, I would hold out until SH runs a sale. They usually do two 20% sales per year and several other 10 or 15% sales. I have never seen more than 20% off. I only buy during 20% sales and stock up on switches so one is always available when I get the itch to automate something else.

If memory serves me, they usually do a sale at 4th of July. I think they reserve the 20% sale for the Christmas/New Year's time frame.
