16 /2 cable for somfy motor

I am planning to use Somfy Sonesse 30 motor for windows drappers. The spec says I need to use 16/2 conductor wire. I am having hard time finding this wire. Can I use any other wire?

Just don't go "smaller" than 16 gauge wiring. This means (in wire gauge terms) you want a wire gauge that is less than 16 (wire cross sectional area increases with reduced wire gauge numbers).

Try using automotive wiring; you'll find plenty that size. I found Del City to have really good prices -- http://www.delcity.net/

If this is for surface wiring, 16/2 would be heavy duty lamp cord or heavy duty extension cord. Otherwise for in-wall, use 14/2 romex. The home supply stores should carry all of these.
