2 Russound CAV6.6s = 2 RS-232 ports?

Wondering if anyone has any experience with 2 CAV6.6s chained together, and utilizing both RS-232 ports. I'm using 1 RS-232 heavily, pushing track and zone information to a PC application. I'd like to utilize the 2nd RS-232 port for simple on/off control of zones, very intermittently.

It seems to be working fine here during basic testing, but I'm wondering if this is a configuration anyone else has utilized, and what their experience has been.

You should have no problem using the two serial ports. It's just like using the serial ports on a CAV and a Tuner hooked together via RNET.

interesting...i am running two cav6.6's connected via rnet, thus only 1 rs232 port. i have them integrated into my HA system via cqc. one of my disappointments with the cqc/cav integration has been the slow response time btwn a touchscreen command and cav action. might my response time be reduced if i use two rs232 connections (1 for each cav) vs. the single rs232 connection and rely upon rnet?
