3-D Head Tracking with Wii remote

Just saw this on the net. Pretty cool stuff and it could open up an entirely new way of doing 3-D stuff. Here is the basics from Johnny Chug Lee who created it. Interestingly, this video was posted over two years ago. But I guess it takes someone showing what can be done before it takes off.

Here is an example of what's being done in a just released software from Winscape (which oddly enough is a Mac program - sure sounds like a Windows program).

Definitely some really cool stuff.

Apparently there was supposed to be a bonus mode in boomblox that used that but I think it got pulled. Haven't played the game myself though. Always find virtual window rigs interesting.
