8Ch TTL Opto isolated relay board - Any one suggest where to buy?

Hi Guys,

I am requiring a 8 channel relay board with TTL input opto isolated with input. The device needs to be non latching ie when the TTL input is logic high the relay is on for as long as it is logic high. The relays are not required to switch any real current as the application I have is supplying a revertive back to the M1 (Zone input) from a contactor unit I have in the pool enclosure.

I am controlling 8ch contactor via an M1 relay card however the contactor input is momentary to latch and the a possiblity that the on and off can get out of sync. The contactor control provides a LED confirmation which I will use drive the opto isolated relay board. I simply disconnect the LED's and I have a logic TTL tally which I will use to drive the relay one when the contactor is on. Then write a rule that forces the state of each contactor to mirror the required on or off state.

If anyone knows of a useful source of a 8ch opto isolated TTL driven unit would appreciate hearing from you. It could be a PCB or in a housing either way I can accomodate it, it can be 5V or 12V relays again easily accomodated.

Cheers,

Hi Fleetz

What sort of contactors are you using ?? Most contactors (industrial) have an aux contact which you can use for interfacing and you can also add contact blocks to them giving you a dry contact interface....

Hi Frank,

Have bought this one http://www.bellson.com.au/fm/fm1.htm the unit has an AUX contact for controlling each channel however I need to make sure the unit stays in sync with the control instruction. THe interface has a LED tally revertive which when disconnected from the LED's provide a 0 to 5V tally which is what I want to use to keep the system in sync. The contactor is 35 metres away from the house, I have two 9 way irrigation cables buried in condiut one for control one for the tally return.

Hence the requirement for some isolation and a TTL logic control with dry relay contact to feedback to a input expansion M1 unit.
