My old security system only had the capability to call the monitoring company. They had a list of phone numbers for "key holders" that they would call before they called the police to go to the house. My cell and office numbers were the first on the list.
My Omni IIe can do that but one can also have a programmed list of several other numbers to call. I can see this being handy for notifying me or others about certain events (brother entered house to feed cat while we're on vacation, etc), but I was wondering if people use the additional phone call outs in alarms situations in conjunction with the call to the central monitoring station? It wouldn't make sense to call the same list as the monitoring company.
What's the intention or best practice?
