Another Newby question

I just received my M1 Gold and have it installed on my test bench. I have been testing various setting that I want to use and I came across a setting that is not working - at least as I understand it. According to the small table on page 30 of the Installation Manual I thought a zone type 1 or 2 should be armed without a delay on 'Stay Instant' or 'Night Instant'.

However, I can not get the panel to arm my type 1 or 2 entry zones INSTANTLY. They will trip an alarm after the countdown has completed, but they will never trip an alarm as long as the countdown is proceeding. I set up the STAY key to allow Stay, Stay Instant, Night and Night instant and these show on the keypad and are announced thru the speaker (out1).

Is there a configuration setting that I am missing? Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

As I recall the "Instant" term refers to the lack of delay when the zone is violated AFTER the area is armed.

Thats correct, instant means after the zone is violated. for example you have night and night instant, in night mode and your zone type 1 is violated you get the normal countdown to enter your pin. in night instant, and a zone type 1 is violated it goes into alarm mode instantly without a countdown and starts it's notification of the alarm company(if configured).
