Im a current Elk user with Alarm Relay monitoring through Internet (Fios, but before that was POTS). But were buying a place in a very remote area where satellite and cell are the only communications options. Satellite seems dicey for remote monitoring, Ive looked at the C1M1 but that seems to be a pain, and it removes some things I use, such as custom text/email from the Elk. So, that leaves Uplink (I think). Can any current users share experiences re: reliability / connectivity? What model of Uplink? If integrating to ISY or Homeseer, any watch outs? And if youre a Verizon user, how well did they cooperate?
