Any way to integrate CCTV (analogue) into Elk?

Are you interested in just viewing the feeds? Or would you like an M1 alarm to trigger the camera recording (and all the other good stuff)?

As for the geeks.com one, I thought BSR reviewed one of those, with really bad results ,but can't find the review he did.

Yes, the unit I had was a terrible product. Remember Dan, you logged into it remotely as I couldn't get hardly anything to work right and you couldn't either? This was a while ago and there are supposedly units out there with newer firmware revisions installed that might have fixed these problems (btw the old units are not able to upgrade to this firmware).
This is definately in the buyer beware catagory IMO.

doh!

Is it possible (economically) m1 to trigger a recording? For instance, doorbell saves a 2 minute video?

Otherwise if it is $1000-1500, I can skip the feature, then on a basic level, I am just interested in viewing this on the web.

Especially to check in on my little guy sleeping when I am out on biz, etc.

Automated Outlet has a sale on a what looks like a high quality Vivek 4 channel DVR for under $400 (this month). Mine is arriving today, and will be doing a review. I believe it supports recording based on an external trigger, and can also trigger an external device such as the M1 when motion occurs. I'll know more soon.

I can't wait to see your review of this. It sounds like exactly the type of product I am looking for. Something relatively inexpensive that I can use for both live viewing on my TV (front door, baby cams, etc) and over IP(security, etc). The alarm triggers I wouldn't know how to use today, but I am sure down the road (once I get wifal approval on the Elk, etc) I would find many uses for it.

Do you normally post you review on the homepage or in te forum.

Also is ao a sponsor here ? They look close on pricing so may as well throw a bone

AO is indeed a sponsor, and has it on sale this month. I will post the review on the front page (but CT bot should post it a reference to it). I am having some serious issues with the web interface (all I get is 404), so I need to figure this out first.

It looks like there was a firmware problem with the entire batch. AO is getting them swapped out, but the upgrade does fix the issue. While it's a pretty low-end system, it's one of the better deals out there. I'll try to get the review up before the end of the weekend, feel free to bump this thread if you don't hear from me by then.
