AR Research ARRPT4 IR Repeater

I purchased an AR ARRPT4 Ir repeater from Amazon and I'm trying to get it to work. I hooked up a receiver and hooked up some ir emitters but it appears it is not working. The IR emitters I had on hand were included with my itach ethernet to ir devices. When I plug them into the AR unit they light up constantly. When I hook them up to the itach they only blink when emitting. Any thoughts?

Sent back. Not worth the trouble.. Picked up a xantech, happily repeating for weeks.
