Arming in Stay/Night mode w/open door

Just had a rude awakening. Have my garage doors setup for Burgler Entry/Exit 2 and Force Arm. Last night, armed the system Stay/Night by pressing the Stay key twice. Didn't look at the (now I know) blinking green light.
Woke up this morning to my neighbor calling and asking why the garage door was open all night.

I assumed that the force zone would not let me arm with a keypress (without entering the code first) if a force zone was violated. Just tried it again and - arm stay does not require the code if the garage door is open - SURPRISE!

Other than my actually checking the status BEFORE I arm at night (reasonable, but not likely), any suggestions how to have a warning that the garage door is open when I arm? Since it won't let me arm stay when the interior motions are triggered, even though they are interior motions (type 04), I figured it wouldn't let me arm w/Burgler Entry violated, but I guess the force is the issue. Need force, though, because it may take a while to get the cars out in the am after arming away.

What did I miss? SUGGESTIONS??
Thanks!

You would need to remove force arm from zone attributes to gain notification or prevent the system from arming with a fault.

What you could do, however, assuming there's contacts on the OHD's, would be to program a rule/checksum to fire an output to automatically close the OHD if the system is armed NIGHT and they are faulted. You could do also use false outputs to drive events, but I think it'll be a little more clunky and take more rule space to do what you're looking to do. Based on another post, you could even fire your screamer as a warning the door is going to operate ^_^

I use the F5 key to indicate that either one of the garage doors are open or one of the doors are not deadbolted. It would be just as easy to program a message to announce if you try to arm with a garage door open.

Use a rule like this:

Whenever area 1 armed state becomes armed
and garage door 1 is not secure
then announce "custom message"- ie. "garage door open"

if you have more than one garage doors, then create a rule similar to this for each.
