CocoonTech stopped by the Dakota Alert booth to see what new products they were showcasing at CES this year.
They have a new product which is an (outdoor) motion sensor that has a half mile range to its receiver called the DCMA-2500. It includes a motion sensor that is dual technology (passive infra-red and motion) so it would require the PIR sensor to be tripped twice consecutively (requiring heat and motion detection) to minimize false alarms. It is meant to detect a person or vehicle within 50 feet of the sensor. You can interface four of these alarms with one receiver.
