The new unit is still Windows CE based, more flush to the wall, offers more memory, and a faster CPU.  It does look like it uses a smaller opening than the old ELK-TS07 (7.5” x 5.38” vs 8” x 6.31”), which might be a problem if you are replacing your old TS07 unit.  The new touch screen is also supposed to be cheaper than the old TS07.

The ELK-TS071 is an in-wall mount 7” LCD color touchscreen designed to operate with the M1Gold and M1EZ8 controls. It features a super bright TFT display, powerful microprocessor, and a low profile design to satisfy the most discriminating taste. The touchscreen ships complete with Elk’s Remote Management Software (RMS), an easy to use graphical interface designed to simplify the operation of both security and automation.
