/archive/j/site/logos/opensma.pnguControl just launched OpenSMA, an industry program which will promote interoperability among its member's products. OpenSMA will focus on Home Security, Monitoring and automation. While OpenSMA was officially launched today, it already has several members, including CentraLite, Comporium, ember, mctv, NewWave, Radio Thermostat, SMC, The Weather Channel and uControl. This program actually has some real potential, and hopefully will include all the big players in the near future. Interoperability has always been an issue in the Home Automation industry.
