RemoTec, a company which is known for building universal remotes, has been focusing on Z-Wave as well, and was showing off their Z-Wave IR gateways, while also showing new universal remotes which have Z-Wave control built in.

Integrating Z-Wave into the standard universal remote makes it easy to control all aspects of your home (AV equipment, lighting, thermostat, etc.), without having to invest in an expensive touch screen remote such as the iPod and Harmony.
